I was waiting at the lift lobby last evening after work when a young couple joined me in the wait. The lift door opened and we walked into the lift. Before I could hit the lift button, the lady said "Six" and continued with her conversation with her boyfriend without a word of thanks. I was absolutely peeved by her poor manners!

Are we so preoccupied with ourselves these days that we lose touch with what good manners and etiquette are all about? I think it not only reflects badly on ourselves but also speaks volumes about our family upbringing.
