On Tuesday, my husband and I celebrated our Aunt's birthday at Lawry's the Prime Rib at Paragon. The restaurant serves tradition American spread and its specialty is its steak. Their regal ambience and the impeccable service are pretty impressive. Walking into the restaurant also brought back sweet memories of the time when my husband gave me a birthday treat at Lawry's just last month.

My husband had planned a mini birthday surprise for our Aunt. He had requested for the waiters and the waitresses to sing her a birthday song at the end of the dinner. It was simply hilarious to watch her startled reaction when the waiters and waitresses marched in with a birthday cake and sang the birthday song.

Well, this is one down from the list of 50 best restaurants in Singapore. Hmm… Perhaps we will try Morton's next, but of course, we shall not indulge in such luxurious spending on a regular basis. Otherwise such fine-dining can burn a hole in our pockets, or to be more precise, my husband's!
