It was my first time at the Geylang Ramadhan Bazaar last Friday to immerse myself in the festive mood. I had always wanted to visit the Geylang Serai during this period but never got down to doing it till last Friday. Thanks to my husband's friend, Sham, I finally got to try some of the tastiest Muslim food! Fried potatoes, fried prawn fritters, fried fish sticks (Sorry, I don't know their actual names) and not forgetting the otah. They were mostly deep-fried but they were all finger-licking-good!

I think one aspect of racial harmony is to be able to appreciate their culture and their cuisine. My husband is one classic example of a true-blue Singaporean. Some of his best buddies from his NUS days are Malays and Indians. If you were to take a picture of them together, I think that would be the best shot of a well-integrated society. In fact, an excellent snapshot for promoting racial harmony in Singapore!
